{lovey dovey} Review

So on Saturday, as I opened up my mailbox (stupid key, took me almost five minutes), I was so excited to see a package.

This is what I got:

The Uncle Sam bib necklace. My new bloggy BFF Lacey at {lovey dovey} made it. It’s so cute.

It’s the perfect size for a statement necklace, and the adjustable ribbon tie is great for when I want to wear it up near my neck or low like shown above.

And the navy and white buttons? Yeah. Super cute. :]

I know for sure that I’m wearing this on 4th of July, and maybe quite a few more times in between now and then.

Let The Countdown Commence!

Okay.

I am starting up my to-do list again. Cuz, well…I need to.

I have the next 9 1/2 days to do the following:

• Finish up all my sewing projects
• Paint, stencil, and distress my desk
• Finish making my Mom’s bouquet; mail it out
• Get my hair cut
• Pack a bag big enough to last for 12 days
• Sort through Matheson’s clothes; box up what is too small
• Pack up as much stuff as possible

Why only 9 1/2 days, you ask?

Well….

I’m going to Cali!

My mom is getting married, and I figured it was the perfect opportunity to see my family for the first time in FOREVER.

Also, my mom only lives an hour and a half away from my husband and also my possible future home: Twentynine Palms.

Yup. I get to see my Marine. *insert girly scream here*

I am beyond excited.

I’m gonna wear my Shabby Apple dress, and my love is going to wear his Blues. I’m almost scared we will look better than the happy couple (well, I won’t; Taylor might).

Unfortunately, by being in California, I’m gonna miss some awesomeness hosted by Miss Bee and Elise happening in SLC on the 10th:

Not that I would have been able to go anyway, what with living here in South Carolina. Sigh…I hate being away from the center of the bloggy universe. :[

Valentined!

Okay, I know this is WAY late, but I just wanted to share with y’all what I did for Valentine’s Day.

     

Yup. I took a bunch of pictures of Little Bear and went shopping.

When I got home, I checked the mail. Wanna know what I got? Oh well, I’m gonna show you anyway. :]

Yeah, it’s from Miss Bee. She said I was her BFF. True story (be jealous).

The next morning, as I was bringing Little Bear downstairs to eat, I saw a GINORMOUS box on our front porch. I opened the door, brought it in and opened it.

A 4-foot teddy bear from my Marine. I named him Dean.

So, let’s recap. This is the first Valentine’s Day that hasn’t completely sucked, for a number of reasons (which I’m going to share):

• I actually have someone to be my Valentine (even if he is 3,000 miles away).
• I got a giant teddy bear.
• I was not vomiting (last Valentine’s Day, I was down with morning sickness).
• I got a Valentine’s Day card in the mail.
